Does it really work on spots stains?

I use but not sure if plastic scraper does the same.

Whats the theory behind the bone scraper?

I've used both and can't tell the difference, but I'm no connoisseur

It could be that bone creates much less static electricity than plastic when rubbing against fibers. So maybe bone is just less annoying?

I think both bone and plastic would each be nonreactive with various cleaning solutions.

I didn't say I didn't have a knife jackass, and do use it occasionally, but I can use a key like a bone scraper😛

I've had little fancy ones that would go on a keychain. Metal and bone. I've also used a putty knife if there's a lot gum😂 It works great too on cgd.

Ok here goes from the dinosaur in the group.

Back in the 50s and 60s, the best spot and stain removal training came from the dry (clothing) industry. My father started in that business, as did Jeff Bishop’s father.

Bone scrapers were used back then because the only alternatives in those days were metal, and metal can create reactions with strong oxidizers and reducers, where bone does not.

I found my Dad’s bone scraper in an old wallet when I went through his personal belongings
